FAQ's
Before you call out an Engineer you may want to see if your question can be resolved below? If you still need any help please contact our technical team on 020 8842 0033 or find your local engineer.
Can I use bleach with my Saniflo unit?
Saniflo units contain rubber elements within the unit which can be damaged if thick bleach is regularly used. Saniflo descaler should be used with a Saniflo unit this will help keep the unit working correctly and help to clean the unit. If you do need to use bleach a thin bleach can be used occasionally if essential.
Will I be charged for a call out if the unit is still under warranty?
Some engineers will charge for a call out, you need to speak to them to find out their terms, however if the unit is under warranty and the fault is covered by this then any call out charge would be refunded along with any repair made without charge. If however the unit is installed incorrectly or damaged due to an item blocking it etc, then this isn’t covered by the warranty and charges will apply.
I am looking to install a Saniflo how do I know which unit to choose?
You can speak to you local merchant or plumber who should be able to advise you, however you are welcome to contact our technical department on 020 8842 0033 and they can discuss your exact requirements and offer advise on the best Saniflo unit for your needs.
I have a Saniflo and I need to order spare parts for it how do I do this?
Your Saniflo Approved Engineer will have many parts with him as standard, however if you would like to order a specific part you can order online: https://spare-parts.saniflo.co.uk/ or contact our technical team on 020 8842 0033.
I rent out my flat and people keep putting the wrong things down the toilet, which blocks the Saniflo unit how can I stop this?
A domestic Saniflo unit can only take human waste and toilet roll. Anything else can block or damage the unit. You can obtain stickers from us showing the items which must not be flushed down the loo and ensure there is a bin in the bathroom to encourage your tenants to use this rather than the toilet.
